After reviewing and planning for a new deployment, students will utilize the Web Console to deploy a bare metal appliance and the Oracle Appliance Configuration Manager tool to generate a deployment plan configuration for a virtualized appliance. Additional instructional videos and simulation software covers the concepts of racking and cabling a newly arrived Oracle Database Appliance system, running first boot scripts, downloading and installing the end-user bundle, and applying the latest patch bundles. The simulation labs are performed for both bare metal deployments and virtualized Oracle Database Appliance deployments.
